In March 2025, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India formally recognised BDS as an eligible qualification for Food Safety Officer government posts. This opened a government career track for dental graduates that did not exist two years ago - and virtually no platform is covering it.

Clinical Research coordination roles in metro cities tend to be faster. Insurance and TPA roles can be accessed within six to eight weeks of starting a targeted job search with a good CV. In some tracks, yes. In others, BDS is a genuine competitive advantage. Pharmacovigilance and medical writing explicitly list BDS as eligible at companies like Parexel, Indegene, ICON, and Siro Clinpharm - your clinical knowledge of drug effects, patient safety terminology, and medical documentation gives you a real edge over non-clinical candidates. Dental product sales and applications specialist roles strongly prefer BDS because the product demonstrations and clinical conversations require a real clinical background. Dental chain operations actively promotes BDS professionals internally. Insurance and TPA roles accept BDS among several medical backgrounds. The tracks where MBBS dominates - regulatory affairs for systemic drugs, hospital administration at large hospitals - are not in MeDeVolv's primary curriculum for exactly this reason.
